Opening of Peace Cranes Exhibition Marks 76th Anniversary of Hiroshima Atomic Bombing

Bill Kidd MSP was honoured to be invited to speak at the opening of the Peace Cranes Exhibition at St John's Church in Edinburgh on Friday 6th August 2021. This exhibition honours the lives of civilians who were killed in the Hiroshima atomic bombing 76 years earlier. 140,000 cranes representing 140,000 lives lost to the first atomic bombing, which was to be followed by the bombing of Nagasaki three days later on the 9th August 1945, killing 40,000 people. Peace Cranes Exhibition St Johns EdinburghMore information on the Peace Cranes Exhibition, and Bill Kidd MSP's message can be found here.
