ALEXA SKILL APP NOW AVAILABLE TO VISUALLY AND READING IMPAIRED PEOPLE

Bill Kidd MSP: "I welcome the news of a new Alexa skill to read newspapers aloud through Alexa devices, making news more accessible and engaging. I thank Cue and Review for their work in bringing this important project forward, and for all of the volunteers who have supported the charity in this significant achievement."

Community Recovery Funding from the Scottish Government has helped the charity 'Cu and Review' develop an Alexa Skill to read aloud newspapers for visually and reading impaired people. This project was done in collaboration with the British Wireless for teh Blind Fund (BWBF). To download this new skill to your Alexa, visit www.printtoaudio.org for  information on what to do.

Donald Martin Editor-in-Chief -Newsquest Scotland said, “We are delighted to support the outstanding work at Cuand Review and applaud this valuable new initiative. It will help modernise the service and more importantly allow more people easy access to it.”

Margaret Grainger of BWBF said, “We, at British Wireless for the Blind Fund, are delighted to be working with Cuand Review on the new Alexa skill. It is going to be a huge benefit to all Cuand Review listeners and to those people in the Erskine Care homes in the initial stage. As well as the wider community as the project progresses. Changing people’s lives is the centre of what we do and by working with Cuand Review we will, together, make this happen.
