Under 30s Urged to Register for the Vaccine Now
if you are aged between 18 and 29, you can now register online for vaccination. You can register at this address: register.vacs.nhs.scot. You can register as long as:
- You are registered with a GP surgery in Scotland
- You haven't already had your first COVID-19 vaccination for medical reasons or due to working as an unpaid carer, or as a frontline health or social care worker.
If you are in the 30-39 age group you should wait to be contacted- you will receive a letter in the post in the coming weeks.
What to do if you think you should have already received your first vaccine, but haven't.
Invitations have been issued to everyone aged 40 or over.
So if you are in the 40+ age group and you haven't received an inviation to receive your vaccine, then please follow the below instructions on how to arrange an appointment.
Please go onto the NHS Inform website to arrange an appointment. The vaccinations section of the site has a section on missing appointments details, which provides a form you can submit. Alternatively, you can call the hotline on 0800 030 8013. Please have your NHS number (a 10 digit number which will be on any letter you receive from the NHS) to hand before calling the hotline.
Doing this means that if your appointment has been missed because of, for example, wrong address details, it can be re-arranged.
30 to 39 year olds are starting to be invited now. In the specific areas of Glasgow affected by the current outbreak, all 18 to 39 year olds are being invited with older age groups first. The NHS is aiming for everyone in Scotland aged 18 to 49 to have their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine by the end of July, depending on supply.
