Bill Kidd welcomes Lloyds Banking Group Apprenticeships

Leaving school or college and looking for an apprenticeship? Lloyds Bank has recently announced that they have created 150 apprenticeship placements in Scotland.

This is a great opportunity for all young Scots, particularly those with in the Glasgow Anniesland constituency as 55 positions in Glasgow are available for telephone banking operations.

Work entails a “learn-while-you-earn” ethos and involves expanding your experience in a real workplace and dealing with real problems from customers by taking their calls. Furthermore, as well as earning money whilst working, at the end of the apprenticeship you are able to gain a qualification in Providing Financial Services (intermediate) – the equivalent to 5 GSCE’s at Grades A-C.

Bill says, “I am in favour of everything that can help with providing a full range of opportunities for young people to enter into the world of employment.”

The closing date for applications is 05 July 2013, although this is subject to change.
