That the Parliament applauds the innovative treatment plans developed at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre; understands that the Beatson is the first cancer treatment centre in the world to use such software to develop individual treatment plans that are created within minutes; notes that these targeted treatment plans can reduce the amount of radiation administered by up to 30%, and thanks the Scottish Government for investing £100 million into the Cancer Strategy to fund six nurses, four clinical pharmacists, two clinical oncology consultants and one senior radiotherapy physicist.
