That the Parliament fully supports the Yemini people and the letter from Keith Vaz MP to the Secretary General of the UN concerning the humanitarian crisis in Yemen due to the ongoing conflict; echoes the petition from Mr Vaz to the Secretary General to add discussion of the Yemen conflict to the agenda of the next UN General Assembly, which takes place on 13 September 2017; notes that UN fundraising to help the Yemini people has reached $2.1 billion; further notes, however, that, despite incredible fundraising efforts, these alone will not end the humanitarian crisis; understands that 19 million people are in need of humanitarian aid, that a child dies every 10 minutes from preventable causes within Yemen borders, three million people are displaced due to the conflict and that cholera cases, 40% of which occur in those aged under 15, will reach 500,000 in September, and urges all states and stakeholders that are involved to work in a cooperative spirit to bring an end to this ongoing crisis before it escalates further.
