That the Parliament congratulates the people of New Zealand on the 30th anniversary of their historic New Zealand Nuclear Free Zone Disarmament and Arms Control Act, which saw them ban the use or storage of these weapons of mass destruction from their country and confirmed their long-term goal for all the countries of the world to achieve the same nuclear-free status; notes that this was brought about even though it resulted in the United States downgrading its status from ally to friend, and considers that nuclear disarmament can become a legitimate goal for Scotland.
