S5M-04247: Celebrating Drumchapel High School's 25th Birthday

That the Parliament congratulates Drumchapel High School on celebrating its 25th birthday in 2017; notes the raising levels of attainment in National 5s and Highers, seeing an increased number of pupils attend university and 90% leaving school with a positive destination, including employment, further training or further education; commends the pupils, teachers and parents, both past and present, on their dedicated and creative work in making the school what it is today; acknowledges the school's activities such as the drama groups, which created performances that have raised awareness around domestic abuse, to the creative cooking classes, where parents and pupils are able to learn how to cook tasty meals together, and the recent victory for Toxic, which was a school dance group in the Northwest City of Dance competition in November 2016, and extends its encouragement to the pupils, teachers and parents involved in the many other programmes and achievements that are so vitally important to allowing pupils to develop life-long skills and interests.
