That the Parliament notes with disappointment the recent decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to dismiss the Marshall Islands' nuclear disarmament case; believes that it was with great courage and determination that the Marshall Islands, with a population of fewer than 50,000, highlighted what it saw as international treaty violation by the world's nuclear-weapon states, the UK, Russia, France, India, Pakistan, the USA, Israel, China and North Korea; understands that the ICJ did not have jurisdiction to hear the case because of objections by the UK, India and Pakistan; expresses its solidarity with the islanders, and notes what it sees as the grave environmental, humanitarian and security risks of nuclear weapons.
