Drumchapel Foodbank Donations

If you feel able, then please consider donating to Drumchapel Foodbank. Between April and August this year there has been an average of 334 people being fed by the foodbank on a weekly basis.

The following items would be greatly appreciated:

Bread, milk, potatoes, fresh fruit and vegetables, vegetable stock, butter, cheese.

During school holidays yoghurts, cold meats, tomatoes, salad packs, crisps, fruit juice (diluting and fresh) and cooking oil, would be most appreciated as well.

You can drop off these items at Unit 9, 15 Ladyloan Place, G15 8LB between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

As an MSP I know how many of my constituents are faced by complex and often very difficult circumstances. On many occasions there can be a knock on effect in terms of ability to keep a job going or have enough coming in every week to match your bills. To have a foodbank there in these times of need can make a huge difference and makes sure that you and your family are fed. We are doing everything in our power in Government to make sure that poverty is tackled and that the vulnerable, especially children, are looked after. It is sad that we still have to rely on foodbanks today, however I know that the people of our community are so thankful and appreciative of the work of volunteers who keep this operation running and for the continuous donations from shops and individuals within Anniesland.
