Glasgow Anniesland- the constituency with the 5th largest growth in Scotland from 2010-2016- has seen its business community grow by over a third in a six year period. The Federation of Small Businesses (FBS) has revealed statistics showing Scotland's most enterprising communities, and announced this new data on Monday 16th October.
The FSB Celebrating Small Businesses Awards 2018 (supported by Business Gateway in Scotland) is free to enter and is open to all of Scotland's smaller enterprises.
I told the FSB that, " Local Business Growth in Anniesland is being driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit in the community, aided by Scottish Government initiatives such as the small business bonus- which have supported local businesses by removing them from rates. This has facilitated growth of new enterprises such as the family-run Italian business, Caffee Peinno on Crow Road.
"It is great to see Anniesland perform so well in business growth- businesses young and old would be wise to enter the FSB's awards to get the recognition they undoubtedly deserve."
