S4M-07357: Sustainable Whiteinch

That the Parliament welcomes the Glasgow Anniesland-based Whiteinch Centre's award of a £297,817 Investing In Communities, Growing Community Assets grant from the Big Lottery Fund; understands that this will contribute to the centre’s project, Sustainable Whiteinch, which aims to make it a more sustainable community asset with increased capacity to meet demand for health, leisure and community activities; believes that the project will enable the centre to better meet demand for volunteering opportunities and provide improved support to volunteers to set up their own groups and for them to be involved in different aspects of running the centre; praises this Growing Community Assets project on the benefits that it will provide to the communities of Whiteinch and Partick West, and congratulates the Whiteinch Centre on securing this exceptional grant funding.
